T-square on charts of several countries

2010 looks like a year of major chaos for Greece, and later, likely by 2011, for Iran, Russia and India. The UK will also be under significant strain. And some internal unrest in Japan, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Israel and Egypt (Uranus in 4º Aries).
By 2012,
the most difficult change comes to Iran, as well as India, China, Italy, Germany, Turkey, Ukraine and Canada (Uranus in 8º Aries). It is probable that the EU as a union will suffer greatly; either there will be great transformation, or great unrest and dissolution (this is 2012-2014). Some major difficulties will also occur within the EU countries; Germany and UK are particularly affected during the entire next decade.
By 2013
, it is an intense climax year, that affects the US, UK, Italy, Australia and many other countries around the world (Uranus in 12º Aries). After 2017, it will be the UK, Australia, Egypt and Israel that will change most significantly.

Major change now that continues in next 7 years:

Greece
: Hey, it's a major turning point! Uranus enters now the chart rising, Pluto entered the tenth house and Saturn has entered the descendant: just like we are seeing! Looks like a year of lots of national chaos for Greece, and a battle between a repressive state and internal unrest!
Iceland: Hey, another chart with major transits! Uranus enters now its descendant, Pluto the fourth house, and Saturn the ascendant! On this chart, the change is brought from the outside, from the international scene (Uranus transiting seventh house) while icelanders just try to find solutions to their economic situation.

Change now and in near future:

Portugal: Uranus conjuncts natal Piscean Sun and approaches tenth house, there is major political unrest and there could be sudden or unexpected political turns. But no major revolution is expected. There will be at least some financial trouble. Pluto transiting seventh house, could be linked to increased european pressure over the country situation.
Spain: two charts, on both Neptune has been transiting the first house since 1998. In one chart, Pluto has conjuncted Spain's 26º Sag Moon, and Uranus is now squaring it. On another chart, Pluto has just opposed the 0º Cancer Mars, and Uranus will square it this summer. Looks like temporary unstability, the economic situation could worsen more, and there is also likelyhood of major violence (maybe linked to independence movements of its several regions). This is even more reinforced since Neptune will square Spain's Moon in one chart, in the next 3 years. Nevertheless, the intensity of events does not seem as strong as for other countries.
Russia (3º Cap Sun): currently Neptune square Moon, and under major pressure, more heat will occur in 2011 as Uranus squares Sun, but after that it seem to be a calm decade. However, Russia seems to suffer from international scene, due to its Neptune transiting seventh house (in a similar way to Germany or Iceland charts)
Japan (3º Cap Moon, 9º Ari Venus): some national difficulties in 2011, then some financial trouble in 2013-2014, but overall the country will not change in any dramatic way.

Change to increase much during the years ahead:

Iran: This is another chart showing very strong events coming. Pluto has entered tenth house, and like Greece, there is a battle between internal unrest and a repressive government. Since, Uranus will enter the chart rising in 2011, the country will inflame even more in the next seven years! Watch out for the years ahead, Uranus will conjunct first house Moon (7º Aries): and there could be war or a revolution (this is 2012-2014).
China: the situation looks identical to that of Spain. Neptune has been transiting the first house, as huge dreams transform the country. Watch with care as in the next three years, Uranus will oppose the country natal Sun (7º Libra), which is being squared by Pluto now. There could be, at least, a full situation of national unrest. Watch in 2012-2014.
India: it depends on two charts. In one, there is a major turning point, similar to those of Iceland, Iran or Greece. Rising in 4º Aries is now squared by Pluto and will be transited by Uranus from 2011-2018. This could be a major period of national unrest and difficult complications. Again, in 2013, Uranus opposes natal Mars, which could mean war or major national unrest. The other chart does not show much trouble; Neptune transiting tenth house shows some government confusion, and Uranus square to Mars some unrest, war or violence this summer, but not later. With this chart, there are also several long-lasting changes in the decades ahead, as both Uranus and Pluto aspect many planets in Cancer.

Germany (7º Lib rising, depending on chart): major difficulties starting 2013 onwards, mostly from international events. It could be economics, world situation or also EU-related. The situation does not look better also. An early Libra (0º or 5º) will be soon opposed by Uranus, meaning war, popular unrest or some effort of some kind. Later, not only planets enter angular houses but they aspect heavily the Capricorn Sun (10º or 28º)!
Turkey (7º Can rising), Ukraine (9º Cap rising): major turning point around 2013 and after. Turkey might have government unrest and be under international pressure; Ukraine will probably change a lot in a hidden way, as it chooses to become closer to either Russia or the EU.
US (12º Can sun): major period of dramatic change around 2014; could be war, revolt or big social crises. Even though, this is not anything that has not already started.
Canada (both charts show a major period of change, starting somewhere next mid decade, depending on either a 7º Lib or 16º Ari rising). Probably the US will be a cause of change.
Italy (13º Lib rising, 10º Can sun, 7º Lib Mars): lots of trouble around 2012-2015 and onwards, probably a major change for the country, violence, uprising or some other major event. The country may become bankrupt, have a major revolt, or suffer from independency movements.
Ecuador, independence chart shows that also South America will be signficantly affected by the changes around 2013-2014. Natal Sun is aspected by both Uranus and Pluto, as outer planets transited in the angular houses.
The UK has a long series of hard hitting transits: first Moon in 30º Pisces is currently transited in a big way by Pluto, and in soon by Saturn and Uranus. Then, both Uranus and Pluto will transit the Sun by 2014, and then they will enter the ASC/MC, a major turning point, by 2016. For UK; the change is dramatic and a very long one.

Change most likely in 2017-2025:

Israel: Looks like not that bad. Pluto opposes natal Venus, pointing to some financial trouble, and Neptune squares natal Mars, which can mean a draining war somewhere in 2010-2012. However, there is no major indication of big change, except after 2018, when Uranus enters seventh house and Pluto in fourth house, then there will be major national strain caused by international relationships and surrounding neighbours.
Australia: in one chart, Neptune conjuncts Venus, which means some financial difficulties. More change comes after 2014, as Pluto and Uranus square both natal Sun, or natal Mars (in another alternative chart). Then, later, it looks like another major shift, and Uranus also enters the rising (in one chart later on the decade)
Egypt (27º Gem Sun, 3º Can Mars): could be some major difficulties related to violence in the next 3 years, but then it is a stable decade, after 2017 however it starts a major unstable period of change (which will affect probably indirectly Israel and the middle east)

Astrological requirements for a REVOLUTION. Revolutionary waves occur in 2013-2015 and 2026-2030

The greatest requirements for a major revolutionary wave are:
  • Uranus in mid Aries, in mid Gemini, or less often near Libra or Capricorn cusp.
  • Triggering revolution is Mars in Aries or preferably in Gemini, and also often in Libra (and to a less degree in Leo)
  • Jupiter in mid Gemini (and less in mid Cancer) is another frequent but not required factor. Otherwise, it should be in Aries, Libra or Leo.
  • Transiting Sun: most often, they occur in early spring (March or April), or in autumn (September or October). Less often, there is strong activity around July.
  • Half of the times, revolutions appear around T-squares, aspects between Pluto and Uranus, and the entry of outer planets into a cardinal cusp.
  • To complete the big picture, Saturn should be in a cardinal sign!
Position of Uranus and Jupiter: Jupiter located in Gemini or Cancer helps. Degrees 10-15º of Gemini and also of Cancer. This is very recurrent!! But Uranus in 3-7º Capricorn also works well. Uranus around 10-15º Aries is a sign of great revolution unfolding. However, the final revolution occurs later in Gemini.

Position of Saturn, Neptune and Pluto: Saturn is very frequently in cardinal signs. Often in mid signs or in their cusps. Neptune in Libra is another very important position. Neptune or Pluto in watery signs seems also somewhat recurrent.

Position of Mars: Triggering factors are Mars progressing from Aries to Gemini: revolutionary waves! This is extremely recurrent!!!! Often there is also Mars in Libra (and less in Leo).
  • April 1989, grows in September to October: Uranus at 5º Capricorn, Neptune and Saturn at 13º Capricorn, Pluto in 15º Scorpio, Mars in mid Gemini, climax at Libra. Jupiter first in mid Gemini, then goes to mid Cancer. Widespread revolution in communist countries.
  • March 1968, grows in May: Uranus at 27º Virgo, Pluto at 22º Virgo, Neptune at 27º Scorpio, Saturn at 12º Aries, Mars transiting late Aries, Taurus and Gemini. Jupiter in late Leo. Widespread revolts around the world.
  • September 1945. Liberation post-war. Neptune and Jupiter in 0º Libra. Uranus and Mars in 16º Gemini at war end.
  • October 1929 and onwards. Saturn enters Capricorn. Jupiter in 13º Gemini. T-square between Uranus, Saturn, Pluto and Jupiter. Worldwide economic depression and social unrest. Mars in Libra and Scorpio during market crash. Uranus in 10-14º Aries.
  • March/October 1917-23. Revolution in Russia and riots in Europe. Initially Mars in Pisces, then moves to Gemini and climax at Leo. Jupiter in mid Gemini.
  • January 1905-1910; Uranus also in 3º Capricorn, then goes to mid and late Capricorn. Revolutions in Russia, Argentine, Persia, Greece, Portugal, Mexico and China. Mars in Libra in Russia 1905 and Portugal 1910 revolutions. Jupiter in Aries and Libra, respectively.
  • April 1861: Uranus and Mars in 9º Gemini! Jupiter in mid Leo.
  • March 1848, Uranus at 15º Aries, Neptune at 0º Pisces, Saturn at 15º Pisces, Mars transiting Taurus and Gemini! Jupiter in mid Cancer. Widespread revolts in Europe.
  • 1830. Revolutions in Netherlands, France, Poland and Portugal.
  • 1808. Revolutions in much of the Latin America. Uranus entering Scorpio, Neptune entering Sagittarius, Pluto and Jupiter in mid Pisces.
  • July 1789. French Revolution. Again, Mars in mid Gemini. Uranus-Jupiter in 5º Leo. Neptune in mid Libra; Pluto in mid Aquarius. Saturn in late Pisces, near Aries cusp.
  • July 1776. America Revolution. Starts with stamp act protests in August 1765, with Uranus in 25º Aries and Mars in Leo, or even before with the Pontiac rebellion in early 1763, with both Mars and Uranus at 12º Aries. Jupiter was between Aries and Cancer. The America revolutionary war starts in April 1775, with Uranus in 2º Gemini. That year Jupiter moves into mid Gemini. in July 1776, declaration of independence was manifested, with Uranus in 10º Gemini and Mars in late Gemini! Saturn was in mid Libra.
  • October 1688. Glorious Revolution: Mars in Libra cusp; Saturn in late Libra; Uranus in 22º Taurus; Jupiter in 20º Capricorn; Neptune in 9º Pisces.
  • Spring 1524. Peasant war and revolts in Europe. Mars and Uranus in early Gemini; Jupiter in early Aries, Saturn about to enter Aries. Pluto in 16º Capricorn. Neptune in mid Pisces.
Next dates to watch preliminary signs in 2010:
  • 16 March 2010, Mars in Leo cusp again, a New Moon triggers the T-square between outer planets (just more building tension)
  • 1 August- 23 September 2010, Mars in Libra cusp joins and intensifies the T-square between outer planets (some sort of issue may worsen, the economy or some sort of international trouble, but wait, because this is just a very early beginning)
Stronger events come in 2011 and 2012:
  • 3-17 April 2011, Mars, Sun, Jupiter in mid Aries, Uranus in 3º Aries (could be initiatory of a unrest impulse, a mass event like failed revolts, or some sort of bigger crises. This crises will grow significant during the spring, this promises to be a "hot" year. However it will be not anything like a revolution - the next decade requires much dramatic events that will lead to the worldwide revolution 10 years from now). Neptune also enters Pisces.
  • 1 July 2011, Mars in Gemini, as Jupiter moves into Taurus, after a New Moon tiggers the square between Uranus and Pluto, at degree 5º (has the potencial for some significant crises or widespread revolt; remember Mars in is Gemini, watch out for some resemblance to 1848 or 1989 revolts, it is quite an agressive or assertive tension)
  • 12 September 2011, Mars in Leo cusp, and a Full Moon together with Saturn in Libra (still same as above)
The revolts of 2013-2015 (all requiresments fulfilled):
  • 18 July 2012. Mars now in Libra, triggers the Uranus/Pluto square, at 9º, already an important degree, during a New Moon in Cancer, and... Jupiter in 9º Gemini. Saturn in late Libra. This has even more than the April-July 2011, a potencial for a critical event, revolt or preliminary revolution. This will be an important date! Watch out as events grow since March 2012 because Neptune enters finally Pisces, and Uranus reaches 9º Aries. Uranus is not yet in the climax degrees of Aries, but much idealism may lead people to start taking the FIRST STEPS of strong assertive (and revolting) action.
  • 27 March 2013: Full Moon conjuncts Mars and Uranus in 9º Aries, which squares Pluto, and Jupiter is in 12º Gemini. Saturn in mid Scorpio. This will be a GRAND spring, as Uranus moves into 13º Aries, all activity will heat up to a climax!!! July is also a strong date.
  • September 2013-June 2014: there will be a climax of revolts and probable revolutions, like the autumn of 1989. Rapidly, the revolutions attempts will spread like fire, from one country to another.Mars moves from Leo to Libra and stays retrogade in Libra. Jupiter in mid Cancer. Saturn in mid Scorpio.
  • March-May 2015: Mars moves from Aries to Gemini, as the square Uranus/Pluto persists; together with the spring 2013, this can still be a climax spring, and probably the first big series of events is acomplished by later in the year. This is probably a TURNING POINT spring. The important events, this decade of novelty, will still last a few more years until 2020. The next revolutionary wave comes in mid 2020s.
Around 2019-2023, the first world change has occurred, another is prepared
  • April 2019. Jupiter, Saturn-Pluto in Capricorn. Mars in Gemini, as Uranus moves out of Aries. This is when the signs of early revolutionary wave may start. This is a very cardinal moment.
  • April 2021. Saturn and Jupiter move to Aquarius. Mars again in Gemini. Uranus in 9º Taurus. Very early beginnings of small signs of revolution, idealism and group activity.
  • March 2023. Mars in Gemini. Jupiter in mid Aries! Uranus in 16º Taurus. Grand sense of impulse, independence grows more and more. Somewhere between now and 2026, a new revolutionary wave starts.
  • April-July 2024. First Mars in Aries, as Uranus-Jupiter occurs in Taurus. Then, Uranus-Mars in late Taurus. Jupiter in mid Gemini. Saturn in late Pisces
The great revolution of 2026-2030:
  • June 2026. Uranus-Mars in early Gemini. Jupiter in mid Cancer. Saturn in mid Aries. Probably, a big revolutionary wave begins now.
  • June 2028. Uranus-Mars in mid Gemini. Jupiter in late Virgo. Saturn in Taurus. Importantly, Neptune and Pluto are in 10º Aries and Aquarius. Revolution unfolds.
  • July 2029. Uranus in mid Gemini, while Mars-Jupiter in mid Libra. Saturn in Taurus. A continuation of the previous year activity.
  • June 2030. Uranus-Mars in mid Gemini, while Saturn is in early Gemini. Pluto now in 16º Aquarius. Neptune in 14º Aries. Revolution ends: structure.

How is the work working?
Every time Uranus enters cardinal signs, the revolutionary wave advances. In 1429 (Uranus in Aries), Joan d'Arc was the heroine peasant that fight in a liberation war. Later, in 1524 (Uranus in Gemini), masses of peasants, probably inspired by her but also by the revolutionary Luther, lead the Europe into the Peasant war, a sort of failed French Revolution. In 1605 (Uranus in Taurus), in a age of monarchies, some people organized a movement to blow the English parliament but failed. However, in 1688 (Uranus in Taurus), the Glorious revolution was the first sucessful attempt to overthrow an absolute monarchy. Until now, we are observing all the growing transits of Uranus in Aries, at every cycle.
Later, in 1770s and 1780s, the revolutions were more dynamic and lead to the Independence of America, and to the failed French Revolution (Uranus in Gemini and Cancer). The movements started as Uranus transited Aries in 1760s. When Uranus transited Libra, things went wrong and Napoleon was trying to conquer Europe. Many independence revolutions followed in 1820s in South America (Uranus in Capricorn), while Europe was once dealing with the Napoleonic wars. In 1848, as Uranus moved into Aries again, the Europeans attempted a "year of revolutions" that failed; revolution were crushed, the masses were not prepared. However, more rights were adquired, and Marx manifesto was out. In 1861, the America civil war lead to the end of slavery (Uranus in Gemini). In 1905-1910 (Uranus again in Capricorn), revolutions occurred in the authoritarian regimes of Russia and China. Russia had another great revolution in 1917 (Uranus in Aquarius), but the people's revolution went into the wrong hands. Power corrupted. At the same time, many countries in Europe became Republics, but as Uranus entered Aries, a great Depression occured and the extreme nationalism lead to the World War (Uranus in Gemini), a big tragedy. Afterwards, two waves of revolts occurred in 1968 (Uranus near Libra) and in 1989 (Uranus in Capricorn) in the authoritarian communist regimes. The pattern seems to follow the previous centuries. A new revolutionary waves starts in 2015-2030.

Where are these domino theory revolutionary waves likely to occur:
- USA state-specific independent movements
- China/Tibet and spreads to Indochina, Koreas, Burma, Phillipines, and India
- Russia internal unrest, can lead to revolution in China
- Middle East revolutions, something leads to revolutions in Iran, Saudi Arabia and Egypt, and all the rest of arabic world, possibly even in Israel
- Greece or Italy and leads to revolutions all over Europe, probable collapse of EU
- Africa democratic revolutions
- South America socialist movements spread around
- Japan and Australia internal unrest

Uranus in Aries. Uranus transiting the fire element. Energy increases to a climax by 2014

In about 3 months, Uranus will enter Aries.
The atmosphere will warm and set on fire, with the revolutionary planet on the sign of independence, willful behavior and self-assertion.

Uranus in Aries corresponds historically to a highly-charged and critical period. Those such as the 1930s, 1840s, 1760s, 1680s, 1590s, 1510s, 1430s or 1340s.
  1. These were periods with great revolts, revolutions, national movements, famines and economic unrest. Examples were the American Revolution, the Revolutions of 1848 or the war of Peasants. However, some periods also had a tendency for agressive nationalism and result in much division within countries and this leads to war, like it happened prior to WWII.
  2. They correspond also to a time of huge personalities that stir movement, independence, revolt and revolution. Gandhi, Hitler, Karl Marx, Georg Washington, Copernicus, Martin Luther, Joan d'Arc are examples.
  3. Finally, this is also a period full of inventions, technological advance and new scientific theories and fields of research. Examples are rocket technology, nuclear energy, distillation of oil, or the steam engine. Radical shifts in scientific models include the theory of Evolution by Darwin or the Heliocentric view by Galileo.
  4. This lively and erratic period also corresponds to times of famines and weather extremes, like the Dust Bowl of the thirties, the Irish famine, the great Russian famine or the Black Plague.

What is highly important is that, at this time, other outer planets are also in cardinal signs, which adds even more intensity. Pluto in Capricorn occurs prior to revolutionary waves across the world. A dramatic square between Pluto and Uranus occurs between 2012 and 2015. This is expected to be a radical and intense period.

In the years leading to this, since late 2008 until mid 2011, Jupiter and Saturn form a cardinal T-square, which sets many events, which could gain momentum, year after year. The curent global crises not only relates to the economy, energy and global security but also to climate change and environmental issues.

Both Uranus and Jupiter enter Aries in 2010. This is the start of a high level of intensity, similar to early thirties or late sixties. As Uranus progresses into Aries (2012, 2013, 2014...) the energy will increase even higher! These would be the most intense years of change. All sorts of inventions, revolts, revolutions and other big changes will begin to unfold. A transformation of society, unlike anything seen before, is expected to manifest by the end of this next decade. You can refer to my other www.spiritual2012.blogspot.com to realize that is also a spiritual transformation.

Some personal experiences.....

Sometimes in order to feel the entire scope of one decision/move to make on life, one can resort to astrological transits. We can follow how we feel along the different house transits and therefore establish more firmly the different aspects and possibilities of our choices.

For example, since last year I am thinking of quitting my job and move abroad to take a new direction. I followed how I was feeling when transiting sun moved along the different houses, in each month:

House 1: I had one exciting opportunity abroad, but we declined. We were unsure about it. If it was now, I would have take it.
House 2. Then, I began earning much less. I am free to find new opportunities.
House 3: I am currently sending local applications, but I am somewhat scattered. This is the main problem.
House 4: I thought that moving abroad could be one interesting improvement, this seems to become a more solid idea, but I did nothing right away, I only had a few ideas.
House 5: Travelled and then I came with a refreshed state of mind and looked at very exciting (volunteer) opportunities.
House 6: I was not accepted for some those applications. I am very active and taking action, but there seems to be no clear direction (I search a lot of different things) and no success.
House 7: Further continuation of above. Very excited, active but also stressed. After these months, the conclusion is that it I only want a short period of fun abroad in some exciting field (mainly environmental), to stir up a new inspiring new beggining. Quite an acomplishing already.
House 8: I was calm. The environmental idea got more solid and deep.
House 9: I was calm and open to change. A few exciting possibilities. One promising application (environment) and I got very excited, but it was later turned down.
House 10: Confused since we moved into a new appartment, and the move would create disruption on our life together as a relationship!
House 11: Angered by feeling neglected in my job, and somewhat stuck, I took action. Later applied for two new opportunities (environment) abroad!
House 12: One opportunity was initially turned down. So, I focused in improving current (local) life. Then I improved inner excitement, to let the flow and, thus, a few days later, I was accepted the two opportunities almost at the same time!!
House 1: One year after, I have another great opportunity: this time I will take it! But it will be a harsh time dealing with my local job and my emotions in our relationship. I must create steps to go forward: by letting run the flow of inner entusiasm and excitement!

Last month, after I received a positive opportunity to move abroad, I tracked how I was feeling afterwards when transiting moon moved along the different houses:
House 1: The month before I was applying for everything, but remaining open for everything. That was the reason I was stuck. I realized I must follow my wish of making a small experience abroad. I explored also new interests and local groups.
House 2: In a confused way, I also manifested (by the positive energy yesterday!) a new contract in my local job! What about our relationship? How it would work?
House 3: Some complicated financial issues motivate my quest to move abroad.
House 4: during a talk with a friend I realized I must allow the entusiasm to take me away. The following day, new possibilities were manifesting and I completely devoted to them (positive law of attraction!). I was having complicated financial feelings, so this was another motivating factor!
House 5: I was excited and motivated with the applications I was making the day before.
House 6: Surprisingly, I was accepted in two applications (positive energy effect!); I became shocked and excited; I look for advice; I try to convince myself and others about it!
House 7: Excited and talked positively with my partner. I am nearly decided to go. This is a 6 month in Europe + 12 months in South America. Strong but positive emotions! I feel that our relationship has all the potencial to endure a temporary distance.
House 8: I wish to quit my job, if others don't agree I will blow at them!
House 9: I researched much about adventure possible by those moves abroad! Motivated!
House 10: I had a raised at my current job (again, manifestation effect!), this made me a little bit confused... I expect to gain a little more money before moving abroad in spring.
House 11: I feel very confident but also independent and impulsive. I can't stand opposition! I must follow what I feel in the moment. I should not think about the future. This created some doubts in our relationship.
House 12: Suddently, I feel heavy, this seem to be a always-loses-something decision... I have doubts about my inner wishes. But that move abroad would be a great liberation from current situation. I am under heavy pressure in my job, I see that this job is not the right path. I feel confident to go, but for a shorter period. I should not have any time commitments.

In summary...

House 1 (a new big promise)
House 2 (changes/events provide a test to that promise)
House 3 (scattered, new ideas, lead to... next house)
House 4 (ideas go deeper and clear, inner revolution)
House 5 (entusiasm and excitement unfold)
House 6 (taking action, checking practical functionality, and my focus, leads to...
House 7 (balancing, active, conclusions/decisions achieved, stirs a new beggining/promise)
House 8 (those conclusions go deeper, exploring new details)
House 9 (further excitement and expansions unfolds)
House 10 (commitments, and realistic details exposed)
House 11 (this leads to new action, ideas, and opportunities...)
House 12 (seeing the sum, the global picture, everything, every detail, inner insight! leads to...)

Physical manifestation of new opportunities and shifts occurs in cardinal houses.

Finding the best house system! (continuation)

After a couple of days, I again questioned old structures of astrology, and again the concepts of house determination, and the use of quadrants.

I have no intention to be lazy, close-minded, or attached to old concepts like many astrologers are (without asking "do things really work this way?")

The other thing I got tired of trusting mathematical models. Being employed in the science field, I am used to see the limitations of deriving models from proposed concepts: Theories fail!

And being a regular practicant of meditation, I am aware of the limitations of human mind. So, I have turned to my own intuition, within that free blank state, to grasp the workings of the houses in a natal chart. I am honest and humble, I assume my understanding is still under test.

The curious conclusion is that one theme of one house during a transit merges completely into the next house theme, like this would be a spectrum, a rainbow or a musical scale! Then, around the middle of the house the energy, the theme of that house comes into a climax and unfolds.
This looks so, for transiting Sun, inner planets, and also outer planets.

In this dance of one house into the next house, the solution evolves, from a personal view to a transpersonal perspective and the nature of the issues shift. Like after finding inner meaning under the twelfth house (water sign), there comes a need for self-determination and action under the first house (fire sign), and then it comes a test to the reliability of that impulse under the second house (earth sign), and then a new unwavering of the impulse that was self-contained under the third house (air sign), and so on

Though I am open for the different house systems, I feel mainly that equal degree houses it's the system that makes more sense. At least, when I look at my own chart and those of my closest ones.

There seems to be something confusing with the use of the quadrant system. The fourth and tenth house cusps, square to first house cusp houses, seem to be points of higher energy. But the calculated MC and IC no. Have you also, observed this in your chart?

Finally, and appologize me for my oppinion, but I think we, astrologers, put much emphasis in mathematical models. When someone derives a model, the model is a mental, conceptual view of reality. Models are often wrong, because they are done in the computer or in the paper. I feel that "meditating" in the energy of the sequence of the house and life events is a better way to go. And to register one huge ammount of life events and make sense of that.

Of course, how to put this into a consultation is impractical, because speaking about a continuum (rise-climax-fall) of themes is more undefined. People like fixed and well known boundaries and concepts. However, during the transition of one house into another, there seems to be a quite eventful transition, and this is particularly relevant in long-term transits where a event tends to mark for example the departure of a first house Uranus into a second house Uranus. The use of transiting Uranus and Mars are very precious tools. Uranus and Mars move so defined and clearly, that they help us to locate where are the cusps of our houses.
The same can be applied for transiting Sun, which can be observed simply by following the calendar, and if you have a diary of your daily events and moods, the best.

Finding the best house system!

This is a call to all the astrologers reading this.

Perhaps we should consider a different approach:

- Instead of seeing which house method fits best, why don't we fit a house system by our own to fit our events in our lives?

My belief is clear: I think we should not follow mathematical models for house determination: we should discover this by first following our own life events. Then, we have to come with a system that works well for every chart. I am not seeking to use a house method as a tool, from which I can choose different options. I want to know what is the reality, what really happens, what is the truth. You can read my findings below.

Please leave your comments below or send me one email.

If you are interested in doing this with me, please mail me and we can see in both of our charts where one cusp ends and another begins. My mail is segurelha "AT" gmail.com

- If you were born ABOVE 55ºN then I am really interested in hearing from you!

----------

I have done extensively for my own chart. I have had Uranus and Neptune transiting my first house, so this lead me to observe some interesting things. I have followed transiting Mars and Sun to discover when inner shifts and events occur: most occur at degrees 16º and 28º of every sign, which are also where planets make aspects to my natal Sun and Moon! It seems that an equal 30º house method fits better in following my life events.

When Uranus crossed these exact points in my rising (16º and 28º Aquarius), these were the times of awakening and radical change. It's like first house activity began at 16º Aqu, and then climaxed at 28º Aqu. However, this is complicated because at both these points, Uranus was aspecting my natal Moon and Sun (by quincunx and sextile).

In my own case, I don't have an exact birth time (10-11am). I had a difficult birth with artificially assisted breathing.

When I tried to determine exact IC and MC, I used transiting Saturn and Pluto, because they were transiting those signs some years ago. Pluto could only transited it in 1990 or 2000 (degrees 16º Sco and 12º Sag), because these were the major events related to both father and career, respectively. Also, after 16º Sag, Pluto seems to have a more entered eleventh house theme.
A major difficult Saturn transit occurred in 2000, with two major difficult periods at 11º and 28º Taurus. Curiously, by 14º Gemini, I started with a new fifth house theme (new romance), so this degree (around 11-17º of each sign) seems to fit well.

But if I consider an ASC with either ~15º or ~28º Aquarius, the degrees of IC-MC would have to be different and don't fit these transits!!
Rather, the fourth and tenth house cusps (in square to ASC) seems to be the best indication for a strong change, and both 15º and 28º degrees fit with bursts of activity. If I consider a MC or IC to both two sensitive points (which is 5º and 12º Gem/Sag), then I also get an increase in inner change, like if the fourth house would climax into a fifth house theme, and the tenth house would climax into a more eleventh house theme.

I discovered also the following:
- the 12 houses seem to be really there, because I have followed this for all transits of every planet.
- there is a ~5-15º mix of energies of both houses, around a cusp, where the energy of one house merges into the next, then the energy of the house rises, climaxes and then decreases into the next one. This makes me think, whether it would not be more important to consider the climax point of each house instead of their cusps. In my own case, a new house theme starts at around 14-15º of each sign, and then climaxes at around 28-30º of that sign. I did not discover any other sensitive degrees like these.

So my empirical findings seem to undermine the ASC-MC assumption. The tenth house cusp seems to be really the square to first house system, and a 30º house method fits better. And this also FITS GOOD for people born above 55ºN.
